Jennifer Lopez fights back tears as she’s declared legally single following Ben Affleck divorce
Jennifer Lopez got emotional on stage just as she was about to be declared legally single again.
During a sold-out concert in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, the 55-year-old singer took a moment to thank the audience. Their applause appeared to touch her heart as she placed her hand on her chest and fought back tears.
“Now you got me feeling myself,” the “Waiting For Tonight” singer, dressed in a shimmering brown jumpsuit, said in a video shared on Instagram Friday.
While Lopez and Affleck settled their divorce on Jan. 6, they were told it wouldn’t go into effect until Friday, Feb. 21 — six months after she initially filed for divorce from the “Gone Girl” star, 52, on their second wedding anniversary.
They had rekindled their romance in early 2021 after calling off their first engagement nearly 20 years earlier.
They went on to tie the knot in 2022, but split two years later.
Both the “Hustlers” star and Affleck walked away from the marriage with whatever they individually acquired from various projects during their union.
It is still unclear how the pair agreed to divvy up their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion, which has been sitting on the market for months.
The “On The Floor” singer also plans to drop Affleck from her last name now that their divorce has been finalized.
