Jennifer Lopez Seemingly Shades Ben Affleck With 2024 Recap Reel
As 2024 comes to a close, Jennifer Lopez is looking back at her most noteworthy moments from the last 12 months—but it seems there are some memories she’d prefer to leave behind.
The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer shared a highlight reel from the past year to Instagram on Monday, Dec. 30, and while the video included clips from her documentary This Is Me… Now: A Love Story—inspired by her relationship with ex Ben Affleck—it did not include any mention of Affleck himself.
Set to an orchestral version of her song “Waiting for Tonight,” the montage highlighted a number of the singer’s recent career accomplishments, such as photo shoots, live performances, the Met Gala, and her Atlas movie premiere, as well as footage of Lopez and her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Affleck was completely absent from the reel, though Lopez did reference the year’s “low moments.”
“In my low moments, I’ve learned to just feel the feelings and then let them go,” she said in one clip.
In an interview included within the video, she also shared that she was “very proud of how I handle all the things. All the things.”
“What a journey this has been. I honestly feel that the best is yet to come,” she added. “I can sit here with my heart and soul intact and still feel really full of love.”
According to Page Six, Lopez has remained on good terms with Affleck since filing for divorce from the Good Will Hunting actor on their second wedding anniversary in August—the pair were even seen exchanging Christmas gifts for each other and their children, the outlet reported.
