Jennifer Lopez To Be Awarded ‘Legend And Groundbreaker’ At 2025 PSIFF

Jennifer Lopez has earned the Legend & Groundbreaker Award at Variety’s Creative Impact Awards during the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival, the agency announced Monday.

Lopez’s recognition stems from her recent performance in “Unstoppable,” in which she portrays Judy Robles, the mother of a collegiate wrestler born with one leg.

“Unstoppable” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in limited theatrical theaters on Dec. 6.

Lopez joins Variety’s annual class of 10 Directors to Watch, which this year includes names such as Malcolm Washington (“The Piano Lesson”) and Coralie Fargeat (“The Substance”).
