Sydney Sweeney addressed the criticism of her figure by posting a short video on social media, responding directly to her detractors

The “Euphoria” star, Sydney Sweeney, took to social media to respond to the trolls who had been criticizing her appearance online in recent weeks. The 27-year-old actress shared a short video that began with a series of hurtful screenshots directed at her. The haters called her everything from “too pale” and “plain” to “sloppy” and “just a regular fat American.” Instead of responding with words, Sweeney decided to take action—her video then showed footage of her preparing for her role as the famous boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming biographical film. In the video, the actress is seen lifting heavy weights, flipping tires, training with ropes, and boxing in the ring, showcasing the results—her incredibly toned arms.

Supportive comments flooded the post from her fans almost immediately.

“I think they’ll come after you no matter what you do. You’re amazing.”

“There are so many clowns in Sydney who don’t work at the circus. They’re sitting behind their phones/keyboards in the land of fools. They hate you just because you’re better than them. Keep being amazing, we love you,” read some of the supportive messages.

The post also caught the attention of Phoebe Dynevor from *Bridgerton*, who left a comment with a red heart emoji under the video.

Earlier in October, Sweeney confirmed her participation in the biopic. On social media, she wrote:

“Well, you can’t hide a needle in a haystack, thanks to the paparazzi, so here’s a sneak peek from my current project. For the past few months, I’ve been immersed in preparing to portray the incredible story of a true champion who fought both in the ring and outside of it. Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength, and hope, and I am honored to step into her shoes and share her remarkable story.”

Interestingly, the role choice is personal for the actress, as she herself practiced wrestling and kickboxing from the age of 12 to 19
